Kennedy’s Kitchen Live at The Platform at Chalfonte Theatre – March 13

Chalfonte Foundation announces an evening of Irish music as Kennedy’s Kitchen takes the stage at The Platform at the Chalfonte Theatre on Thursday, March 13, at 7 PM. Doors open at 6 PM, Because of a generous sponsorship of Blarney Castle Oil & Propane and their EZ Mart gas stations and convenience stores, tickets for the concert are just $9—the same price as a movie ticket.  Tickets can be purchased at chalfontetheatre.org or at the Chalfonte Theatre box office.

Kennedy’s Kitchen has been captivating audiences for over 25 years with their high-energy blend of traditional Irish tunes, pub songs, original compositions, and storytelling. Rooted in the deep traditions of Celtic music, this five-piece ensemble delivers performances filled with passion, humor, and the joy of shared musical experience.  They have also collaborated with notable artists such as The Chieftains and Tommy Makem.

Instrumentation in the band includes guitar, fiddle, tin whistle, bouzouki, bodhrán, bass, mandolin, and banjo. Their discography consists of multiple critically recognized albums, with their self-titled debut (2003) receiving recognition from NPR affiliate WVPE 88.1 FM. Their latest release, The Whiskey of Truth (2019), features their interpretation of traditional and contemporary Irish folk music.  The Irish American Heritage Center's website describes the music of Kenney’s Kitchen as coming from “the home, the hearth, and the heart.”

This one-night-only performance at the Chalfonte Theatre kicks off its St. Patrick’s Day week of celebrations with music, cinema, and more.
