Hugh Pool Brings Rock, Blues & Country Fusion to The Platform at Chalfonte Theatre

ELK RAPIDS, MI — The Chalfonte Theatre, a growing cultural hub and the home of the Elk Rapids Cinema, announces a special evening of live music featuring the acclaimed musician Hugh Pool. The concert will take place on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at The Platform, the theatre's new live concert and performance space. 

A Unique Musical Talent with a Legendary Resume
Hugh Pool, a seasoned musician from the Rust Belt, brings his distinctive blend of rock, blues, and country to Elk Rapids. Known for his “trad psyche-delta stomp” style, Pool has spent decades refining his craft, earning accolades for his performances and collaborations. He has shared stages with iconic artists such as Patti Smith, Gov't Mule, Johnny Winter, and John Mayall.

Pool’s talent has been showcased on national platforms, including Late Night With Conan O'Brien, The Emeril Lagasse Show, and The Mitch Albom Show. In addition to his live performances, his original compositions have been featured in films, network television, and award-winning documentaries.

When not performing, Pool produces music at Brooklyn’s renowned Excello Recording studio, working with celebrated musicians like Debbie Harry, Michael Brecker, and Joseph Arthur.
